Swelling? It Is A Result of Proteinuria

Are you troubled by swelling? Do you know what causes it? Read on to see Mr.Huang’s story.

He was admitted in our hospital on December 25th 2016. When he came here, he was very fat. His height was 170 cm, but his weight was 74kg. His urine volume was over 2500 ml per day, but there were a lot of bubbles in urine. Test report showed his 24h urine protein was 7.42g.

In fact, when Mr.Huang found that his leg became swelling, he did not receive any systemic treatment timely, but ate some diuretics. After a period of time, his swelling did not disappear. On the contrary, it became worse and worse. And then then he attached importance. When he came to hospital for tests, he was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome. After a period of treatment, his swelling did not fade away, neither did his proteinuria. At that time, his weight was 71 kg. He thought if he kept on treatment there, he would waste a lot of money, hence he discharged from hospital.

To treat his disorder well, he tried many kinds of therapies, including folk therapies, but all of them did not help him get great improvement. Under the introduction of his friend, he came to Shijiazhuang for treatment.

Actually his disease was easy to treat. It is to reduce urine protein and eliminate swelling. And then his weight will go down. The reason why his weight kept increasing was that he did not suit the remedy to the case. Our characteristic Chinese medicine treatment can repair the damaged glomeruli basement membrane by removing those deposited toxins from the membrane. When the membrane heals itself, urine protein will reduce, swelling will disappear and weight will come down.

During treatment course, our nutritionist helped him make a suitable diet plan according to his weight. He should consume 97.5g protein and 1950-2600kcal calory per day. Mr.Huang received treatment on time and followed the diet plan strictly.
