Is There Anything New I Can Help Complete Cure of Nephrotic Syndrome

Question: i am a pediatrician. My son 21 years old has Nephrotic Syndrome since 6 years ago. He is minimal changes types steroid dependent. If the dose of steroid is less than 15 mg/day, relapse occurs. Is there anything new I can help complete cure of my son? Thank you.

Is There Anything New I Can Help Complete Cure of Nephrotic SyndromeAnswer: Minimal Change Disease (MCD) patients are sensitive to steroids, so proteinuria turned to negative easily with such a treatment, but they are susceptible to depend on it. Once steroids are tapered or stopped, relapse occurs. Do you know why? It is because the patient’s resistance to the disease is poor, that is to say, immunity is weak. In such a case, we usually use the combination of western medicine and Chinese medicine.

On one hand, steroid treatment should be kept on to control Nephrotic Syndrome and prevent it relapsing. On the other hand, Chinese medicine is used to strengthen immunity.

The commonly used Chinese medicine includes Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy, Medicated Foot Bath, Medicated Full Bath, Enema Therapy, Steam Therapy, Navel Therapy, Acupuncture, Moxibustion, etc. They can dredge the channels and regulate the flowing qi and blood so that enough essential elements can be transported into damaged kidneys to help them recover. They can also eliminate waste products from renal cells and blood to make a clean internal environment for kidney self-healing. Besides, they can adjust the endocrine disorder and make whole body in a harmonious state.

After half month’s treatment, swelling will disappear and proteinuria will reduce. After a month’s treatment, Nephrotic Syndrome will be under control. With treatment going on, you can reduce steroids gradually and at last you can stop steroid totally.

If you want your son to completely recover from Nephrotic Syndrome, you can try Chinese medicine. For more information on our treatment, please leave a message below or contact online doctor. We will try our best to help you.
