What Can I Do to Lessen Swelling with Nephrotic Syndrome

Question: Hi please help me..my son was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome a month ago..and he is taking steroid now but still swelling. What can I do to least lessen?

What Can I Do to Lessen Swelling with Nephrotic SyndromeAnswer: Nephrotic Syndrome is a collection of symptoms due to kidney damage. Its clinical manifestations include massive proteinuria, swelling, hyperlipidemia, and hypoproteinemia. Steroids are widely used into Nephrotic Syndrome treatment, but they are to suppress renal inflammation so as to reduce proteinuria. When proteinuria is controlled, associated symptoms will get relieved. But from what you said, it seems that your son is steroid-resistant. That is why his swelling is still there. In such a case, you had better change into other treatment.

In Beijing Tongshantang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, we usually use Toxin-Removing Treatment for Nephrotic Syndrome. The whole treatment is classified into two parts. The first part is to cleanse the blood and make a good blood environment by a systemic Chinese medicine treatment, such as Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy, Medicated Bath, Foot Bath, Enema Therapy and Mai Kang Mixture. Though the kidneys are not able to filter the blood adequately, your bowel movement and sweat can also take away some waste products and fluid from body to reduce the workload of kidneys. It can also improve blood circulation and increase blood flow into kidneys so that enough essential elements such as vitamins, oxygen, nutrients, enzymes and active ingredients of medicine can be transported into nidus to speed up kidney recovery. The second one is to use targeted treatment for the removal of renal inflammation. After about one week’s treatment, swelling will get relieved greatly. After about half month’s treatment, swelling will disappear. After about one month’s treatment, Nephrotic Syndrome will be under control. Because kidney condition gets improved and immunity is strengthened, this symptom won’t relapse easily.

What can I do to lessen swelling with Nephrotic Syndrome? If you are not satisfied with the current treatment, you can try the above treatment. It can help dispel edema completely. But you may have to come to China for treatment. For more information on Nephrotic Syndrome treatment, please leave a message below or contact online doctor.
