FSGS and Swollen Feet

FSGS and Swollen FeetNot a few FSGS patients suffer from swollen feet. And this symptom may keep coming back. Do you know why? How to treat it? In this article, you will find out something new about FSGS treatment. If you have any questions on FSGS, please add whatsapp or wechat 008615033420788 to have a direct contact with our renal experts.

Causes of swollen feet in FSGS

The swelling happens because the kidneys leak a lot of protein in the urine, which is also called proteinuria. You can not usually see the protein, though it can be found by a simple urine test.

A lot of the protein that is leaked is a type called albumin. Albumin helps keep fluid in the blood. Fluid moves between the blood and the body’s soft tissues, and when there is not enough albumin in the blood, fluid stays in the soft tissues. Under gravity, fluid goes to the lower limbs, leading to swollen feet.

Treatment of swollen feet in FSGS

The first treatment for FSGS is steroid, usually prednisone. Steroids suppress the immune system. In many cases, stronger medicines that are known as immunosuppressants are needed. They can help you reduce protein leakage so as to relieve swollen feet. Besides, diuretics may be used together to remove excess fluid out of body.

However, the above treatment is only temporary medical relief. If you do not want it to recur often, Toxin-Removing Treatment is a good choice for you. It is a combination of a series of Chinese medicine, such as Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy, Medicated Bath, Foot Bath, Mai Kang Mixture, oral Chinese medicine, etc. It can help expel massive waste products from body to make a clean internal environment for kidney self-healing. It can also dilate blood vessels and remove stasis to improve blood circulation and increase blood flow into damaged kidneys to supply them with enough essential elements to speed up kidney recovery. Besides, it can regulate the abnormal immune system to help you resist the disease. After about one week’s treatment, swelling will disappear. After about half month’s treatment, proteinuria will get great relieved. After about one month’s treatment, your kidney condition will get enhanced, and then your kidneys can remove fluid out naturally.
